Welcome. You are about to enter the Molina Campos Virtual Museum. This is a development started by Luis Aguirre, an admirer of the artist´s work, and the project seemed so wonderful, as well as the diffusion possibilities it provides, that we adopted it as our own. It is a virtual museum, set up on a virtual site of Second life, which is in Linden Lab ownership. Produced at a 3D platform (similar to the video game´s), it allows the visitor, personified in a character called Avatar, to interact once inside the site. It is a fascinating experience, inside a virtual world that has just begun; a world in which big names like Reuters, University of Madrid, BMW, the UADE, among others, already have a space of their own. It is a parallel word which, according to the augury, will exceed internet in features, and will ultimately replace it.
The virtual museum´s facade is inspired in the Molina Campos´ Foundation´, located in Moreno town, state of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Travelling inside with the keyboard´s arrows in the computer, the visitor will be able to look around the different galleries, in which many of the works of the Official Catalog are exhibited. This works will be periodically updated since, because of space reasons, the ones which are not exhibited are kept in a security vault – a virtual one as well.
The visitors will be able to observe the works, watch videos and listen to recordings, and perhaps meeting, during the trip, the other 8 million characters (Avatars), who are also travelling in this parallel world, with whom he/she will be able to dialogue through chat or through the computer´s microphone and headphones instead. Bear in mind that although in this parallel world all names are fictitious, behind them there is also a real person, from some part of the real world, with many activities, businesses and real knowledge.
The Molina Campos´ Virtual Museum is unique in its kind and in our circle, and it offers the possibility to approach the work of this marvelous Argentinian artist for free and without leaving home, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We hope you enjoy the experience of visiting the Molina Campos Virtual Museum.
